How to Post & Comment - Tips and Proper Etiquette

Everything you need to know to get started using our class blog can be found at the following links.  Please read carefully.  I highly recommend using Google for your email account for this class.
  1. Getting Started with Blogging.
  2. Inserting links into your post.
  3. Adding a picture to your post.
  4. Why you shouldn’t write your post in Microsoft Word.
Please abide by the following:


For Posts:
  • Write with an audience in mind being sure to meet the criteria of the assignment or task.
  • Be clear and concise, stating which ideas are facts, opinions, or reflections.
  • To inspire a discussion don't hesitate to pose questions as well.
  • Use supporting evidence when appropriate.
  • Proofread your post for accuracy, spelling, and grammar.
  • Hyperlink any sources. (click link if you don't know how to do this!)
  • Post on time.
For Comments:
  • Before commenting, completely read and view the post and any associated articles and/or videos.
  • Your comments should be a minimum of 2 sentences.
  • Always be  polite and appropriate.  Inappropriate  comments will be deleted.
  • Use your comment to show why you think the topic is important/interesting/controversial.
  • Use good grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
